FAQ's

Q: Why should we use your travel agency?

A: I worked for an all-inclusive hotel company for over 5 years and I know the Caribbean! Each destination and resort is unique and you should know these differences to make the most informed decision possible. I would want to know these things – and so should you! If you are considering the Caribbean, allow me to help plan your honeymoon. I've had dinner in the restaurants. I know which resorts are lively or quiet in the evening. Odds are that I've had a hot stone massage in the spa – and better yet, I can tell you whether or not it is worth $150!

Q: How far out should we book our honeymoon?

A: I recommend booking between 6 months and 1 year in advance. Resorts have several room categories and the best rooms (although not necessarily the most expensive) frequently sell out first. One thing to consider: usually only a deposit is required to book, and the remaining balance is due 45 days before you travel. This will give you adequate time to budget. I always recommend taking out Cancel For Any Reason insurance. For some reason, if you would need to cancel your trip, you would receive back your money, minus the minimal cost of insurance.

Q: Should we use the internet to research and book our honeymoon?

A: The internet is a powerful tool. It provides a wealth of information and it’s a great way to start researching. Just remember that anyone can post on the internet. Within a resort, there are room category and package choices for most budgets, depending on the qualities and features you are looking for in a vacation. That’s where my expertise comes into play.

Blindly booking your honeymoon on the internet makes me very nervous. Quite simply put, who will you call if something goes wrong? I live and work in Pittsburgh, so my reputation is everything. I have excellent relationships with the companies I have chosen as preferred suppliers. Having these partners on my side makes all the difference if something goes wrong before or after your trip.

Q: What are your thoughts on destination weddings?

A: Destination weddings are a great option. Many resorts offer free weddings or different packages for every budget. Whether you are planning on bringing your whole family, or if it's just the two of you, I would be happy to provide some beautiful options!

Q: My friend just got back from Jamaica and loved her vacation! We want to go to the same resort – can you book this for us?
A: Of course, I focus on the Caribbean and would be happy to help you. I have personally traveled to Jamaica over twenty times – it’s a beautiful country with some of the friendliest people you will ever meet! Before I send you prices, let’s talk so I can find out what you are looking for in a vacation. Just because your best friend had a great time at a certain resort doesn’t mean you will have an equally wonderful time. Maybe you are looking for something smaller or more active? Similar to most countries, there are different parts of Jamaica. Are you looking for a laid-back resort with beautiful beaches? I might recommend the Negril area. Are you more of a party lover and would die of boredom at a laid-back resort? Perhaps the Montego Bay area is more your style with it's high energy atmosphere and great nightlife!
